Mercury '49

Finished Revell's Mercury '49 today.
Didn't do anything special, I just wanted a shiny Mercury. I used some Pearl Clear but it is quite hard to see on this color.
Hope you guys like it

Excellent use of colors here with the white walls, red rims, white engine bay and yellow.
I think is excellent execution and a very good example of a car from this genre.

Thanks man
The red rims are in fact Iceracer's idea but I'll take the credits

It is a thin coat of Tamiya Chrome Yellow.
I only sprayed mistcoats, no wetcoats because a thicker coat would make it more orange-ish and I didn't want that

Look great, i like cars from this era, very nice job, someday i be that good, how long was the build, right now i'm building a 34 ford ragtop pro street, i planned too have it done by a year or so , working on it part time and most parts have too be hand built ,and buying part's off e bay and that's very spendy ,and i've never ever seen a 34 ford ragtop, lot's hardtop's out there , but this one i have was built in 1977 as 33 ford hardtop with 350 chev engine -400 turbo, monogram orginal, new then and had it a long time , then had on shelf as i got married , then dev , and she took hammer time , so top is gone anyway, hardtop and pile of part's,and the new build up will be a 49 flathead with blower and lenco 6 speed wth 4 bar 9 inch , with phat tire combo rims , so it will be all ford this time out, so it might take me awhile , but i'm old and slow anyway and need something to do anyway at night ,after work, great job on the build up , Everett.
