03 Silverado gauges
Started my 03 silverado 1500 this morning and all gauges didnt move. I started the truck multiples times during the day today. My milegae/blinkers, etc all light up. My question is, when these go would ALL gauges flatline? Im at 120,000 miles and this is already a remanufactured cluster at 60,000miiles. Should I just assume all stepper motors are shot???

Re: 03 Silverado gauges
Check for fuse's and bad connections.
It could be simple as resetting a connector. |

I started the truck this morning and the gauges were all working....but the truck sounded extremely weak when cranking, like it wasnt going to start. So could low voltage/amps cause gauges not to work but everything else to seem ok? |

check for loose fuses...they should set very tightly in the holders.. all grounds on engine frame need removal and cleaning...also the battery leads/connections for corrosion and security.. have the battery load tested should be above 400 amps..green zone .. using a voltmeter you should get 14.25 volts when engine hot at air temp of 40 deg f......... |
