Dealership parts prices by UPS
I am planning to buy front lower passenger and driver's side control arms for a 1995 Toyota 4-Runner and I got shipping quote of $54.83 by UPS 2nd day Air for them. Would the dealership stick their online quote even though both controls arms weigh alot?. Also did anyone ever purchase Toyota parts from?:
http://toyotaofhollywood.com as right now they seem to have the cheapest prices on genuine OEM Toyota parts. Here is breakdown of the parts I am planning to buy: Toyota oil filter # 90915-YZZD1=$3.73, quantity:6 Toyota front lower driver's side control arm # 48069-35051=$171.21 Toyota front lower passenger side control arm # 48068-35051=$171.21 Toyota cotter pin # 90252-04002=$0.38, quantity:2 so subtotal:$365.56+$6 handling+ $54.83 (UPS 2nd day Air)=$426.39 I used to buy from Bob Bridge Toyota at http://www.1sttoyotaparts.com but they no longer hold the volume discount account so from all of the research I have done Toyota of Hollywwod, Florida seems to have the best prices presently. If anyone has place on cheaper control arms let me know as well does anyone have a source on RUST FREE SOUTHERN control arms that they would be willing to ship to Nova Scotia Canada by USPS (US Mail)?.. They are used on 2nd generation 4-Runners (1990-95) and 5th generation pickups (1989-95). If so send me an email at the below address in my signature. Sidney E-mail: sidneybek(at)yahoo.com Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Canada 1995 Toyota 4-Runner, 22R-E engine, 4x4, with 248 000 KM |

Re: Dealership parts prices by UPS
I would rather buy parts from the Internet, and shipped by UPS instead of Dealership.

Quote:
Sidney, if you buy with a credit card, you can always dispute the claim if they overcharge you for shipping.

Re: Dealership parts prices by UPS
Doing Homework can save alot of money!
Example - Try buying OEM Catalytic converters from jaguar. http://www.catalyticconverterwarehouse.com Example - Try buying OEM Air springs for a Lincoln. http://www.arnottindustries.com There's cheap parts on EBAY! ,but watch the shipping priece. Oxygen sesnors - There's 1,2,and 4-wire, the only difference is the wire, conn, and cost. 1-wire is 1st gen (OBDI), 2-wire is 2nd gen, and 4-wire are Heated O2 sensors. So anyone know the size or specs for Toyota cotter pin # 90252-04002 used in the upper and lower ball joint castle nut used in the 1986-95 Toyota 4-Runners and pickups? also used in the 1995-2000 Toyota Rav4. Thanks.
