engine block heater
Does anyone here have any experience with the optional engine coolant heaters? I don't have one in my 2001 GP GT, but I was thinking about getting one at the junk yard. Would it be worth the effort?

Re: engine block heater
I've never added one. My cars have them. But rather than getting one at a junkyard, you could buy a new aftermarket one. Then you wouln't have to freeze your fingers off getting one.

Re: engine block heater
That's not a bad idea, however, I can't find one that I can just leave in place. All I can find are magnetic models that look like they just stick to the engine block.. Do you know where I might find a better one?

Re: engine block heater
they make aftermarket ones that replace a freeze plug in the block. They have them in varying sizes, so I'm sure they have one to fit a 3800 for sure.
