The sad thing is, this WASN'T the first time......what war was it that they had some girl reporting that some guerilla fighters were killing the babies inside this hospital? It turns out that she was a daughter of one of the ppl. in UN....and that it was all set up.....this sounds exactly like that story.

*shrug*

this is old news - even while it was first being reported, like right after they rescued her they said she wasnt shot.

She was an attractive girl - and a bunch of horny men went to her rescue :finger:

Conspiracy theories are the most entertaining read. The moon landing ones are particurallly jovial.

I'm not surprised. It's a 'Wag the Dog' and 'reality TV' society we live in today.

I thought the story of her rescue sounded too Hollywood-ish.

Makes me wonder why I joined this military... Surely not for them to bullshit the people about what we are doing. Imagine the strain on the parent hearing that she was shot...

It's not even so much the possibility that the whole thing was staged that irks me, its the fact Lynch was labeled a hero in the first place. I mean cmon, all she did was get captured, so basically being dumb enough to be captured by the enemy makes one a hero? A hero she was not, victim, prisoner, rescued maybe... But not a friggen hero.

If anyone should have been given the credit for being a hero, it should have been the soldiers who "allegedly" rescued her, I say "allegedly" ver loosely...

Is it just me, or did the footage of the "alleged" rescue have a striking resemblence to the rescue that took place at the end of the movie Spy Game?

True DAT!

BTW......what fucking footage?!?!?!?!? The 2 second clip of a "stretcher" that didn't show anyones face, being loaded into a helicopter...or are you taklking about the "footage" of them climbing the stairs....I'm thinkging that this was shot in some abandoned building, or even a sound stage in AMERICA!!!!

HA!

Or did I miss some of it, because whenever those lame shits on CNN showed the "AMAZING rescue!!!!!" (OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER BTW!!) all they showed was a stretcher being loaded into the helicopter.

Someone please tell me if I missed some "AMAZING FOOTAGE"!
