is af overrun with visitors?

ever realise af has more guests online than members? tonight i saw 687 members online and 1794 guests. dont get me wrong, its cool that that many people are checking out our site here but how many of those people actually register? are we being over run by them or what? i need your opinion.

Why do you need our opinion? Taking a survey?

ya, its a survey for school. we need to find a forum place on the internet, and ask if they have more visitors than members. of course i came here because this IS my favorite place to be when i have a few minutes or a few hours. so, opinions please. (by the way, our teacher is being really specific for some reason now. we were all suprised)

I have noticed it too.

It is all good. Word gets out about a particular forums which offer a variety of topics, subjects, and sub forums will always generate a lot of visitors.
Most come just to check it out or maybe get information. I would generally think they are either too shy to post, or are afraid of getting laughed at for a particular question so they may shy away from actually joining.

It seem quite a few do join up eventually and it does seem to come in spurts.

Ditto.

I dont really mind it, as long as it doesnt interfere with anything on the site it's fine with me. It's better than having a forum where you must be a member to read the posts, because then no one would know whether the site is good or not and would go somewhere else.

I think says a lot positive for the quality of the site when 687 members and 1794 guests are on at the same time...

Agreed. I am a little surprised at just how high that number is however. (Guests) That must either mean that the forums get a look of people just looking for specific info or just passing the time.

I knwo at school when I firts go to Af, I'm not signed, and I'm only signed in when posting which I don't do a lot of a school, so antoher factor contributing to the high guests levels could be memebrs that are away from thier home computers or just not signed in.

1794 though, wow.
