Emergency key

Does anyone know if the emergency key on the key fob will start the car? We just bought a 2010 Grand caravan and I thought they said it would start the car. Can't find any information about it in the manual other than using it to lock the glove box. It does NOT start the car?

yep, there's no "key" for starting the car. the emergency key is to unlock the door in the emergency that the keyfob battery goes dead or the car's battery goes dead and the key fob can't unlock the door. you'll notice only the driver's door has a key lock. (bad part is years later when the lock rusts up and you cant' get into your car when the battery is dead)

Thank you very much. Just checked out my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and there is only 1 lock on that also. Never realized.
