Transfer case rebuild

I have a 2002 1500 4x4, long bed, reg. cab 4.8 v-8. It is a manual shift w/ low and high 4 wheel drive. I have some of the parts to rebuild, but what I need is a parts break down or exploaded view in order to purchase all the correct components. Actually, what would be fantastic is if anyone knew how to get me a model number of the case. The tag is worn off, so I'm un sure what model it is. From there I'm good. Thanks.

Re: Transfer case rebuild

Take a picture of the RPO code sticker on your vehicle, (or write them down). The sticker is white, approximately 3" by 5" with black 3 character codes on it and is usually located in the glove box. Then do a Google search for "GM RPO codes". One of the codes will tell what transfer case was in the vehicle when it was built. The transfer case model number will start with "NV" and have 3 digits after it. There are several web sites that have exploded views, some of them have parts lists for overhauls. Post the model number and we can help.

Nothing in the glove box. I guess I'll have to get in touch with a GM dealer mechanic.
