Re: transfer case vacuum switch

Look beneath the battery tray for the actuator, and along the top edge of the cowl for the vacuum switch. The switch was moved off the transfer case sometime in the late '90s.

Re: transfer case vacuum switch

found the one under the battry followed it to the firewall but there is another line from there that goes over to the drivers side fender and has a tee in it one line goes to the front of the car and the other disintergrated, the part that was left turned like it went towards the trans, I went to autoparts store and asked to see one for a 2000 and he brought me out something with a hose connection on one end and a bullet on the other, but did not know where it went

Re: transfer case vacuum switch

What TC do you have? THe 236 4 button will have it on the fire wall. The 3 switch is still on top of the transfer case. Follow the vacuum line at the TC and it will lead you right to it.
