AC/heat problem

I have a 2003 Town and Country, the system will not allow me to change the speed of the blower. I can change the temp. When I turn the system off it blows harder. Any suggestions?

Re: AC/heat problem

Blower resistors usually make the blower STOP working when they fail, but it IS possible that they go bad in other ways...

They usually cost $15 bucks at your local auto part store and it's a cheap place to start...

I honestly cannot say where it is on the 01-up vans but the 00 and down vans have it under the wipers on the passenger side, inside of the strut tower... Not sure if they changed the location in the newer vans...

Re: AC/heat problem

I was just investigating your part on rockauto.com and autozone.com...

Seems like it is a cheap part if it has manual temperature control, but automatic temperature control can cost $65 and up, depending on the brand...

Chances are your Town and Country has all the bells and whistles, so it may have the automatic temperature control... If it IS the electronic type, that would explain the odd problem...

Looks easy to replace... Seems like in the middle and slightly to the right of the center of the dash...

I think you can get a look at it at this link: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...&parentId=1160
