I gotta 99' Chevy Malibu LS 3.1 53K. He gotta 94' Pontiac Trans Am GT 5.7 auto with 120K. Would you do this trade? I'm looking for something faster.

Check your insurance 1st!
I would rather have money in my pocket, than get there fast.

They said it would be the same $10 +/-. As long as I don't have collision insurance.

Are you saying your insurance would only go up approximately $ 10.00 ? For a quote increase of only $ 10.00 , I'd jump on it !
