upgrading to power locks and install keyless entry / remote start
Hello,
I just bought a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt with manual door locks 2 days ago. I also purchased a Viper 5701 2 Way Responder Security & Remote Start System. Could someone please instruct me as to the hardware that I need to make this keyless entry system work? More information on the system can be found at: http://www.directeddealers.com/manua...2V-2008-02.pdf Just wondering if something like this would be all I need: http://cgi.ebay.com/POWER-DOOR-LOCK-...item564052d2f2 My main concern is how is this thing going to get power? |

Plenty of room to work inside the door. You will also need a bypass for the ignition even though it's a base model. Good battery source can be had at the fuse block on the pass. side center consol area. I personally like the compustar remote starts with their BLADE series of bypass kits because it really cuts down on the amount of wiring. You can go to www.ifar.ca for the proper bypass. Good luck!
