Re: McLaren M23 Swedish GP -73. 1:12

I'm pretty sure I saw this one race around a local track down here in NZ earlier this year, it was a McLaren tribute event with old F1 cars & even a rare F1. Those old F1 cars do sure go quickly!!
Your model looks excellant, I'm sure Denny would be proud!!

Was a big suprise to spot this thread. It's awesome to see this car built, you have done Denny Hulme proud. The original car '73 Swedish GP winner is indeed still intact and gets run from time to time in New Zealand. Denny bought this car himself and had it sitting in the entrance to his home until his wife agreed to sell it. It was sold on the agreement it would never be sold outside NZ.

How did you get the decals for the side of the rear cowling? I would love to know as I have this exact 1/12 kit and I always wanted to make the Deny Hulme version.

Here is a shot of the car:

Hi and thanks all!!

WRCfan, the decals is from MTR, they have a decalsheet with several driversdecals,
Hulme, Revson , Schekter and Mass. All logos for each driver is provided in that sheet.
And also thanks for the info regarding this winning car, I'm glad they are still driving it!
The car design and livery is so beautyful ! I love it !!
Enclosed pictures from the race

Thomas
