Problem starting 05 GTP

Hello everyone,

I have a 2005 GTP with 131,000 miles on it. Currently, about 8/10 times that I start my car I have to give it some gas to get it to fire up. I have replaced my spark pugs and wires about 50,000 miles ago. I have a feeling because it fires and runs just fine once I give it gas that its something else though. Anyone have any insight?

Re: Problem starting 05 GTP

Common problem is the throttle body which is "drive by wire" electronic. To start clean the throttle body. Using throttle body cleaner. Also, check out our old threads we have on the same issue affecting '04 and up GPs only.
