Re: 2003 olds silhouette

Are you reading that from a set of steps to perform to access something? Like from the shop manual?

Anyway, depends on your trim package, but the front wheel wells have a plastic liner that uses a few screws and a handful of plastic push retainers to fasten up to the steel fender. You remove that to gain access to the under side of the fender, or the rear of the front door hinges.

Re: 2003 olds silhouette

I was reading this as either replacing a piece that was lost or ripped off, or wasn't part of the trim package (as delivered from the factory). Didn't think it of it as a request to find the part for a prescribed repair, yet hey... won't know until the OP replies!

I've never seen an aftermarket package like that, but hey maybe. . .
Olds does have a plastic trim package that comes on the premier and maybe some others too. Its a plastic runner that slips into the front splash panel and runs along the bottom of the rocker panel (under the doors) clear back to the rear wheel well.

This is a trim piece that has nylon clips every 16 inches or so along the rocker panels. You use a tool and pry each retainer clip up from the bottom edge of the plastic runner.
The front 'splash guard' is a separate piece that has 2 screws to attach to the wheel well and is molded to accept entry of the long section from under the door.
If this is what you have, its not aftermarket, its oldsmobile factory.
Not sure if this helps.

Re: 2003 olds silhouette

I just picked up a 02 Silhouette and I'm in the same boat. I need one for the drivers front wheel.

Mines a red silo. I plan on hitting all the local junk yards soon as I have a chance.

Cheers
Wayne.
