95' thunderbird not starting

If the car is in park or neutral i get nothing from the starter. Replaced the battery and solenoid still nothing but you can jump the solenoid and it starts right up.Does anyone happen to know where the neutral safety switch is located?

Re: 95' thunderbird not starting

Welcome to the forum johnboy8899. It is located on the drivers side of the transmission. Try holding the key in the start position while moving the shift lever back and forth slowly between Park and Drive to see if the transmission range sensor (neutral safety switch) is out of adjustment. Be sure you have your foot firmly on the brake pedal! Does your car have an anti-theft system? That could cause your problem also.
