What car should I buy?

I am new to this whole import scene. I was thinking about getting a Honda or more likely an acura. What king would you recommned. I really don't want to be swapping any engines, just bolt on stuff and possibley a turbo, therefore I want something that's already pretty decent in stock configuration. I work at a dealership, and could probably get a great deal on a 97 2.2cl with a five speed. Do you think the 2.2 is a good candidate to be hooked up? Are performance parts readily available for it? I'm also considering the Mitsubishi eclipse. Let me know what you think.

ECLIPSE!!!

I might get called a poser for this but fast and the furious shoed what an eclipse could do, sure that thing wasn't stock but it was very nice. If your gonna get an acura i would suggest either an integra or an RSX, nothing else(except maybe an NSX but they tend to cost a lot). If your choosing between an acura besides the RSX, Integra, or NSX and the eclipse, i'd suggest the eclipse.

what about a dodge

Do you think a dodge avenger or sebring coupe would make a good candidate? I found a stage II kit for them that puts out about 250-275 hp with the 2.0 L DOHC config. It runs about $2800, but has headers, the turbo and associated mounting hardware, a fuel pump, as well as a side mount intercooler and a replacement for the stifeling factory air cleaner system. This package produces a 13.7 second 1/4 mile @ 103mph on the sebring, and 13.0 @107 with the neon. Those numbers being with the stock exhaust system still in place. Seeing as I am a Chrysler salesman, I would like to hook up one of the models I also sell.

Thumbs down Get an import.

NOOO!!!!!! don't go for a sebring, those things are bath tubs with wheels. Ugly, heavy, jsut all around not good. As for the avenger, although they are incredibly nice looking cars, they have no balls. You would be much better to stick with the eclipse, or if you can get one an integra or and RSX.

I want decent times

I was in another integra forum, and lots of people had 1/4 mile times in the high 14's. That sux. I want something that will be in the 13's w/o NOS. I am looking for something I can get a turbo kit, headers, cold air induction, and an exhaust. After this I want to be under 14 in the 1/4 mile. THe sad part is a level II kit for the pathetic little neon will produce a 13.7@103.

What do you think I could get out of a 2000 Eclipse gt with these mods?
I am considering an integra, but frankly reading those numbers was really dissapointing.

Itegra is a real car.

The main reason the integra has slower 1/4 times is because it is the greatest car that japan makes(except maybe the skyline) because it is the best handling car to come out of japan. An integra might not be able to turn a 1/4 in under 13, but not much can without either NOS or an engine swap., but the integra has it where it really counts, high top speed, and unbelieveable handling. An integra might not be the first car to get to the corner, but it will definitly be the one with the fastest exit speed.
