Antifreeze odor & leak

On my '05, V8 Tahoe with 64,000 miles, we noticed an distinct antifreeze smell the other day while driving. When we got home, we noticed antifreeze leaking (dripping) onto the rear tailpipe (passenger side). The leak was coming from above the tailpipe where two hoses quick-connect to what I assume to be the rear heater core located in the rear quarter panel. Question 1-Do those quick connectors have rubber seals that might have gone bad? Question 2-Or do you think it is the heater core gone bad? If it is the heater core, any advice on replacing it or is it a straight forward repair? Thanks!

Quick connectors have rubber o rings in them.
We can not see or look t it for you so.
You need to find out for sure where it is leaking.
Before you can fix it.
Post back where it is leaking for help on it.

THESE hose connectors do leak, usually when improper tools used to remove from the heater core. remove these hoses and then with 10psi of air pressure leak test the heater core for holding pressure .

If no leaks replace these hoses or remove the quick disconnects and use hose clamps.

you could take heater hoses off and bypass them by putting something in the midle of hoses and see if it's your heater core? you never got it hot did you? you can feel around your rug and see if it's it's wet also.
