Re: 89 si window problem

Thats a little vague, can't help you much with that.

JDM Conversion? Forgive me, I don't keep up with JDM conversions...are the windows power? if so that explains a little more and I might be able to help out, could just be the motor, could be wiring or relays. Best way to find out is to take the door apart, unplug the motor and apply 12v to 1 pin and ground to the other pin, should move either up or down, flip the 12v and ground around and it will go the opposite. If you get nothing out of it, the motor is shot. If it moves both ways, its wiring or relays.

Re: 89 si window problem

Or its simply jacking the window motors from a Sedan....Again, I'm not all for the JDM stuff, more of a function over form guy.

Just test it like I mentioned above, it will tell you which part of the circuit your having issues with. If it happens to be the relays/wiring, you will need a schematic and start probing plugs in it.

Re: 89 si window problem

Electrical problems are tedious but aren't that hard to deal with. Just a lot of testing here and there. 12v + ground is the easiest way to test, Ohmmeter works as well if you have access to one.
