ABS/ brake problem

I have a 96 windstar,95K miles. ABS light has been on over a year, fluid is fine, new front brakes put on 6 months ago. On recent trip front passenger side has started to grab at any speed, more of a vibration then a pulling - sometimes very severe, when brakes are applied. Had gone over 1,200 miles before this started. Sure could use some help on what the problem could be.

Re: ABS/ brake problem

Sounds like a warped/out of round rotor. Because it only does it when the brakes are applied, it sounds like it's your rotor. You could try swapping the rotors from driver to passenger and see if the problem switches, but frankly, I'd probably just plunk down cash and buy a new pair. I just purchased some for my 2000 and they were relatively cheap. I believe I paid around $25-$30/side. Since your ABS light is on, I don't think your ABS has anything to do with it since your ABS light coming on will disable ABS.
