1989 98 Regency Brougham Water Pump Question
I'm not actually sure if it comes in other varieties, but the engine is a 3.8L just in case. Anyway, my friend's dad(a mechanic) diagnosed the problem based on where the coolant was leaking from. The pump itself is cheap enough, but he said the engine would have to be taken out to replace it. I'm not sure how much experience he has with this particular car, so I took to google to make sure he was right. Though I couldn't find anything on the '89, I saw posts that said the pump could be replaced on a '92 and a '95 without removing the engine.
Long story short, I'm asking you, AF members, if any of you know if the engine need be removed to perform this repair. |
