LSS fog light replacement?????
I have a '96 LSS. Wanting to change out a the dead fog light bulb.
I can't seem to figure out how to get the bulb out of the housing. There is a soft boot thing where the wires enter the houseing. I try twisting both ways on the base of the boot but I don't want to break it and it is not wanting to twist. It looks like a zip-tie on the base of the boot holding it to the bulb connection. anybody dones this before? |

Re: LSS fog light replacement?????
I found it easier to remove the fog light assembly(2 Bolts, 10mm I think) and drop it down so you can get at it. The bulb (880) just rotates into its location. The connector is hidden inside the boot to keep it from corrosion. My 1998 LSS has different bulbs(H1) and a clip to hold the bulb into place, but has the boot over the connector like you are describing. After a few bulb replacements, the boots have gotten small tears. I just use a little black silicone sealant to seal the tears.
