Fog light replacement

what is the best route to replace the front fog light bulbs on a 97. They look like they are a hard part to access. One is already out and needs replacement anyway, any suggestions as to upgraded fog lights.

Re: Fog light replacement

i don't know about upgrades but they are real easy to get at if you go from the bottom of the car. There is a plasic piece that tucks up above another piece on the front of the car. pull that down on the side, it is pretty flexible and shouldn't be to hard then it is a straight shot to the fog light. stick your hand in and give it a quarter twist or so and she should pop right out. The stock bulbs should last a while. when you install them you are making sure not to get your finger prints on the bulb right, because that could cause it to burn out early.

Re: Fog light replacement

thanks, I will see what I can do, I just looked under the car and saw no easy access and figured there might be some easy special way. I have never replaced them before, so fingerprints are not an issue but thanks for telling me so that I dont this time.

Re: Fog light replacement

Are silverstars the best brand for foglights, what else is out there that is good? What about a blue look, any ideas? Thanks

i need to replace the drivers side fog light..looks kind of tuff just bending the plastic down and getting your hand in there..it might be easier removing the plastic shield ????

Plastic sheild? we might be talking about the same thing. there is a piece of plastic that runs all the way across the front of the car. bending it down and trying to stick your hand in there might be tough but it is simple to pull it out and bend it down on which ever side you need to. just pull back on the edge of the piece and it sould pop out and be able to bend it down, because like i said it is pretty flexible.
