2001 Nissan Maxima SE - Driver's Seat problems
I have a 2001 Maxima SE (cloth interior)... has anyone experienced problems with a feeling of the driver's seat "shifting" in the track during corning or braking?

I have the same problems with my 01. I have leather power seats and they click when I take corners hard. I don't know if its a problem with the seat or if it is just because my ass is too big. Maybe the seat can't handle the 250 lbs driving the Max.

thanks for the reply.... I'm thinking the same thing (about my big fat ass)... I'm pushing 240 myself.
I'm brining it in for service in ~2 weeks to have them check it out... I'm going to find the fattest guy in the place (usually the service manager), and have him drive it around to see if they can duplicate the problem... FWIW, I did go back to the dealer and drove an identical car (with 7 miles), and couldn't duplicate the problem... This is drivin' me friggin' nuts.... at this point, I'm going to push them to replace the seat... I've only had it 2 months (3300 miles) If they find anything, I'll try to let you know. |

Cool, let me know what they say. Maybe I'll have to take mine in. I've had the car for 10 months now and I have just gotten used to it.
Us fat Maxima drivers have to stick together.:hehe:

thanks!... that was the first thing that came to mind... I had them check it at 1250 miles when I got my first oil change... they claimed it was "tight"...
Hopefully they'll figure something out... |

just an update... I had it in for "service" last week... they couldn't duplicate the problem, but agreed to order me a new Seat Track Assembly anyway...
I'm supposed to get it installed on Friday. Let you know how I make out. |
