PE set for Tamiya DBS?

I'm struggling to make up my mind wich is better: Studio 27 or Hobby Design's PE set. Both have disk rotors and lot of other cools stuff, but does anyone have an opinion about it (both cost almost the same)?

Re: PE set for Tamiya DBS?

I would go with the hd set, i think it has more pe bits. Usually the s27 pe sets are lacking.

Re: PE set for Tamiya DBS?

Get the Acu-Stion PE set for the DBS if you could find it, it's more detailed than the HobbyDesign set, but disc are flat not few pieces like HD that comes with resin calipers, but after all it wouldn't be much visible, so why hassle

Re: PE set for Tamiya DBS?

Thnx guys for Your input! I'm taking it under advisement. The HD does however come with 12 piece grille... I'm kinda leaning towards it, but well see.

Re: PE set for Tamiya DBS?

I got the Hobby design set specifically for the grill. I'm a little worried that the PE will be too thin to replicate the grill in scale. I like the set, though, there are two sets of brakes so when I mess up the complicated set, there's a simple set for big dummies like me. The calipers are nice, too, and since I will probably change the wheels, they'll come in handy.

Re: PE set for Tamiya DBS?

Thanx Willimo for sharing that. I haven't ordered it yet, cuz I cannot decide which to get. I'm kinda leaning towards the Acu's version, since it's simpler (like I am) so I would finish the model someday. I dunno, we'll see if I get any of them. I have about 100 unstarted/started but unfinished models so I dunno, maybe I'll manage without any PE set. It would be nice though.
