1974 mgb flooding problem

We are tyrying to bring a 74 with SU carbs back to life. Been sitting for 9 years. We have taken apart and cleaned the carbs. When she is running fuel will start to run out the vaccum hose that is attached to the run on control valve solenoid and the intake manifold. Could this be a float problem ? We have a new fuel pump and it will pump up tight when we are not running the engine. Any help would be appreciated.
