3 x F1 Ferrari 1/20th

Hi Guys....

My last 3 builds..... Only another 40 odd F1 Ferrari's to build and that part of my stash will be exhausted. Given that these 3 represent at least a years work, I reckon I need to live to be around 160...

Not that happy with the photo's - I think they look a bit muddy. It's an operator problem rather than a camera issue, so I'll just re-read the 'How To's and see what I can do to improve my technique... Anyway, on with the builds...

MFH Ferrari 126C3 - My first completed MFH kit. (Started this after a BB512LM but have yet to finish that). Great kit, but too much crammed under the hood, so it won't sit flush. That's OK... you wouldn't want to hide all that detail. Also, that huge (and heavy) rear wing is only supported at the centre of the wing post... One day I'll remove it and drill and pin it to the wing post to make it a bit more secure. That's my only real complaint with this kit. Otherwise it was a dream to build. It built like a metal Tamiya kit, but with way more parts.....

Studio27 Ferrari F186 - Standard Studio27 kerbside.... I originally thought this was butt ugly (and it was a very unsuccessful car), and I only pulled it out of the stash and built it because I thought it would be a quick / simple build. It's grown on me though, with that clean shape, and minimal sponsor decals. I've just noticed that I didn't get around to painting the wheel nuts..

Studio27 Ferrari F399 - More S27 kerbside fare. This is an original release of the kit, so no aftermarket decals were needed. Nice one piece milled wheels too, (later ones have turned rims with cast centres).

Hope you like them - Sorry my camera skills aren't up to much..... I have much to learn.

David

They all look superb to me, super clean with excellent details and I can't see anything wrong with the photos! F1models must be extra time consuming, even the kerbside versions because of all the visible parts! I like the F186 the best, my era!

Great collection, really enjoyed looking at these 3 beauties. Great work on all of them and as far as your photography goes, mine should be so good.

A great job on 3 cars that I would be proud to have in the display cabinet. As for the photography, I couldn't find any faults there either, Well done.

Re: 3 x F1 Ferrari 1/20th

Thanks for your kind comments guys... Many of your own builds have provided me with huge inspiration in the past

The 512 BBLM is continuing to make progress slowly, but I feel the need to pick another box off the red pile and get moving...

Thanks again...

David
