RS having idle issues

My buddy has an RS and it's all of a sudden having an issue idling. He said he sometimes has to push the gas in order to keep it running but the odd problem is that when he pushes the clutch in, the car just dies. He has to really rev it up to keep going. Thoughts here?

Re: RS having idle issues

Almost sounds like bad compression. Compression test FTW! But I would check all vacuum lines first, and then test out the IAC to make sure that's working properly. Not sure with the clutch though.

Re: RS having idle issues

I think the problems are unrelated. I think she wants to stall because of pressure on the crankshaft and there being such a low idle that she just wants to stall. I'm going to have him test the isc and clean the throttle body.

IAC, not ISC... similar, but not the same
