Fuel injector not working

I recently noticed the car idling a little rough, almost like a misfire. Changed plugs and wires, still had problems. Last week I ran half a can of sea foam through intake, helped for a little while (under 100 miles), now one of my injectors does not spray. Could it be that the use of sea foam knocked some dirt loose and its now clogged? Will another blast of seafoam help or what? Thanks guys for your help and time.

Re: Fuel injector not working

Do an ''out of car injector service''
A diesel shop will do a micro bath, blow out, and test the flow rates.

Re: Fuel injector not working

I'm not questioning your ability, but how do you know it's not spraying? Is it because you can't here it operating with a mechanics stethoscope? Check the resistance across the terminals of the injector. Resistance should be 11-18 ohms. Injectors a relatively expensive for their size. I would go along with danielsatur unless there is no diesel shop close to where you live. I'd just replace the injector. It may have been the problem all along.

Re: Fuel injector not working

I know the plugs and wires are working okay for a fact. The way I know the injector is not working is I went down the line, pulling the relay to each injector. The first three, upon pulling the relay almost drowned out the engine. Upon pulling the fourth one, there was no change in how the engine ran, so I know that it is the problem, just not sure what to do about it is all.

Re: Fuel injector not working

Roll the injector just like a bad plug or wire.
Consider getting a used one from a salvage yard.

Also check the compression on the missing cylinder, and compare with the other 3.
