Hasegawa Ferrari 348 ts

Well this is my second installment since returning to modeling. Tried a few new things like carpet and seat belts. Also learning the difference between Tamiya PS and TS paints

Also how to fix up my mistakes, probably one of the most frustrating, then rewarding aspects of it all. As there were quite a few to fix up. So as it was bought as a 'practice' model, it certainly filled that role.

Cheers

Looks good. I don't know about the color combination and the build lacks a little in finess but it is a tough kit. Nicely done.

What actually happens if you use PS instead of TS?

Looks pretty darn good to me! I would paint the trim along the A pillar and see if you can get the windshield to fit better, but this is a tough kit from what I've heard.

I found that the paint seemed to be much harder once it had gone off, making it near impossible to get a nice shine on it with the polishing compound when compaired to TS finishes. It also seemed to orange peel more than when i use TS, but could have been the loose nut behind the spray can. The colour is Camel Yellow and is didn't really turn out the way I wanted. But mistakes are how we learn I guess

Thanks, never noticed that trim before. Back part is black, just for some reason did not do the rest. As for the windscreen, I was lucky it fit at all. The top section broke when I took it of the tree. It was a very fragile and very fiddly trying to get it so the break was not too obvious.

I agree with the interior, This was the model that cemented me buying an airbrush. So I could spray the colours I wanted, not only the ones the hobby shop had in a can. There is only one description for this colour....Baby ...... Brown

Pretty cool, but i like it with shiny polisher to touch for finishing. Its just my opinion but the whole package is great. I love it.

Re: Hasegawa Ferrari 348 ts

Looks like an overall pretty clean build.
And you said you learned something, or several things, so great work.

What color did you use. Hard to tell from the indoor pictures.
Looks almost like a yellow-orange color in some pics, to almost orange with a little gold flake in others.

I have one of those sitting on the shelf, and you've given me some inspiration.
