The underdrive pulley is installed on Cheston's car, but we haven't discussed the gains on it. I'm sure he'd be happy to tell the forum.

With the YPipe, as long as you can get it past the visual (Shouldn't be a problem) the car should pass smog if the car is completely warmed up. Drive it around hard for 15 minutes or so. If it's cold you'll fail the test. I've seen people pass and fail with the YPipe, so just make sure your car is 100% warmed up.

for a 5 speed Max, the UDP is a great mod. the reduced weight and decreased size definately helps the engine rev MUCH faster. you'll see around a 5-7 HP gain, and it'll take a few ECU cycles for the car to "comprehend" the new pulley and you'll realize the power later on...

as for autos, eh. you won't feel as much as a difference, but every little helps, right/

the only draw back is a slightly stiffer steering wheel due to the decrease in power steering power, but overall alternator power and power to your enormous stereo system will NOT suffer due to the pulley.

it's a good mod, and up there. Probably much more worth it than say, an RT catalyst converter...

Cheston could you speed the ECU cycle up by resetting the ECU right after you install?

Also, how much do those UDP's cost? Installation would run about?

Thanx

UDP install? $50. prolly. but i installed it myself.

as far as the ECU. yeah. you could reset it, but then it would have to relearn all your mods on the car....
you might as well just leave it...

Heh heh heh, I really hate to do this since I'm doing a half-assed Premier boycott...but Premier has 2 in stock and will get rid of them for $200 installed...of course this price is also negotiable...I'd say 165 is the lowest installed they will do.

Hmm tempting offer Dennis, but if you're boycotting so am I. Not to mention I'm trying to save cash.

By the way, these Pirellis get real saucy on high speed cornering =(

Yeah those Pirelli's aren't too great after temp. How do you think I felt when I was on the track?!?! Well, if you wanna swap out the tires from your rims, just let me know...as for Premier, I talked to them today and everything is all good for now.

Well I'll live with the Pirelli's for now. they look better since they're taller (less than a finger gap now =P )

Also very quiet and smooth at top speeds, although high speed handling is saucy.

Hmm...high speeds seemed to be fine on the way to Vegas...130+ high enough? It's just when they get warmed up they get all spongy and stuff. Oh, and I hate to do this to you Brian, but I might need a little $$$ for the tires...that is a private matter so I'll contact you on that later.
