Power windows??

Is there anyway to override and manually roll up windows in a '95. The motors run and sound like they're just slapping inside the doors, the drivers will go down (it's about a 1/3 down now) but will not go back up. Is it a big deal to fix them. I'm thinking the regulater is just disconected from thr motor, or sum'n??

Re: Power windows??

One of two things has happened. Either the nylon gears in the motor got chewed up from age or the regulator broke. I just replaced three regulators and two gear rebuild kits for less then $125.00. Look for new regs and rebuild kits on e-bay. I paid $21.00 dollars apiece with shipping for the regs from Rockwell. The motor kits I bought from Auto Zone for $ 30.00 each. I bought my 96 TC with three of the four windows not working. That and the trunk pull down switch not working were the only things wrong with it. I now own a beautiful 96 TC for less then $400.00 and a half of days labor. I just disconnected the pull down till I find a switch. I love my TC.
