1999 Buick Regal Ignition Switch Replacement

Hi guys,

I have found this wonderful write up on changing the ignition switch...
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=653340

Unless I missed it - don't I have to remove the airbag/steering wheel as well?

Anyone done the repair before - Any Tips?

You'll need a E4 torq socket. Lisle makes one.

Just an update.

Also, you'll need an E5 Star female extended socket for the screw(s) that hold the top steering column cover. And Torx T20 male bit for the two lower screws for the steering column lower cover.

I got my E socket tools at Harbor Freight Tools under the Pittsburgh name. Around $7.99 for the kit. See pic.

And watch out for an aftermarket remote start. Mine was spliced into the switch harness.
