Re: mazda rx7

Maybe you can use some tape for spraying to have a MUCH cleaner built.

Re: mazda rx7

Off to a great start. The colors look good together, you can't go wrong with a white car on gold wheels.

Re: mazda rx7

I like the wheel style but I think they might be a bit too big for the body. I'm also not familiar with recent completed builds by you so I'll just say that you could probably touch up the paint spills and really tidy it up (noticeably the rear lights, window sills, front splitter). I like how you kept the overall body scheme simple though.

You two clowns are being asshats... I think it looks really good for an amatuer builder, shooting him down aint gonna help anyone here. Were you not an rookie once?

I like the color combo, white and gold have a real classy look together. You already seem to have a subject that you like. Just keep honing your skills and you'll get better and better

Alright! Another rotary fan. I have to agree with Kenhuiboy, your priority for the next one should be to improve your masking skills. I'd suggest picking up a roll of Tamiya masking tape for window surrounds: black on white is notoriously unforgiving.I've had problems with clear red not looking "red" but pink. I suspect this is what happened with the taillight. Next time I suggest holding the finished part up to it's location and deciding if it's what you want before gluing.

Re: mazda rx7

I like to use Testors stop light red for clear tail lights. Its basically a metallic red. If you use clear red, build it up in thin coats,so the colour builds up. Follow this link to see the one I did. The tail light was done with Testors stoplight red and turn signal amber in the recessed areas, then backed with bare metal foil over them. I then painted the back of the hole tail light black. I used repeated light coats of Tamiya Smoke sprayed on the front of the light over several days to get the right look.
