Identify this F1 please

Those of us living in the UK would have seen Top Gear last night. Murray walker made the case for the mclaren f1 as the greatest road car ever. What i want to know is, what car was murray driving? It was a standard car with a high downforce kit. It was black with a red stripe and was most likely in britain. Any ideas?
I would also like to know who the professional, showing Murray how the car should be driven, was. He looked very familar, but i couldn't put a name to the face. Perhaps he's the owner?

Sounds like #002 based on the color, the red stripe and the high downforce kit. The car is actually dark grey btw.

I don't know the owner's name, but I believe he's active in the racing community. The car was recently seen at the Spa Ferrari Days in Belgium.

The guy driving was Duncan Hill. He is the senior customer care engineer at Mclaren Automotive as it is now known. Incidently to answer a question about xp5, it has just been completely restored and will be going on show in the park lane show room before being placed in the museum at the Mclaren Technology Centre. The car looks stunning!

cool, you seem to know a lot so can you answer these questions:

1) MUSEUM!!!!!!!<<!!!!!!!! will it be open to the public

2) what if someone wants to test their car, i thought xp5 was their press car

There done with the business of selling and marketing the cars - they won't be loaning XP5 out anymore. In fact, really only AutoCar was given access to XP5 for a complete road test, most of the other magazines got supervised drives or just a ride in the car with Jonathan Palmer doing the driving.

XP5 will be at Park Lane for a while then it will be confined to the museum at Paragon for the rest of its life along with XP1LM. If anything will be in the park lane showroom it will be an SLR. Unfortunately the F1 has had its day as far as marketing goes. All efforts are focused on the SLR. The SLR takes more from the MP-17 than the F1.
