Re: 1962 Pontiac Catalina!!
Great paint and foil work. That showroom shine really call for hub caps though.

Re: 1962 Pontiac Catalina!!
Solid build! Excellent paint work. I agree that it looks better with no hubcaps.

Re: 1962 Pontiac Catalina!!
Wow - that looks stunning! Is it the AMT kit from the late '90s?

Re: 1962 Pontiac Catalina!!
GRat work, the paint looks flawless, as well as the trim. Looks so mean with no hub caps, i bet it suprised more then one car on the street back in 62

Re: 1962 Pontiac Catalina!!
I am working on this kit at the moment. This has probably been the best AMT kit I have ever built. I am also doing it without hubcaps and the preprinted whitewalls add a great deal to the kit!
Your build is awesome and I hope to have mine as good as yours!

Re: 1962 Pontiac Catalina!!
Good luck with yours my friend, it is a great kit and I will probably end up doing the custom version also, looks like it will also be cool to see the custom side of this car.

Re: 1962 Pontiac Catalina!!
This thing is just flawless man, from the paintjob to the eras look, it's just amazing. What system do you use for polishing?

Re: 1962 Pontiac Catalina!!
That is excellent! Looks aggressive but still quite subtle without the hubcaps, nice!

Re: 1962 Pontiac Catalina!!
Well, it's absolutely flawless, it's amazing to see how great of a shine you got on that paint. I hear so many people going on and on about how much money they spend on special brand paints or that they got their paint from impossible sources yet, you just proved the point that you can make a model look good, even with the cheapest paint in the market.
This thing should be gracing the covers of 1/1 car magazines, it looks that real!

Re: 1962 Pontiac Catalina!!
That's a lovely car. Your model is a wonderful tribute. How long did you take to build her?
