Help me with my setup...

I got a 1995 civic, and in the front door I replaced the stock system with a nice set of new Pioneer (4 way) 6x9's (220W TS-A168OR). The rear deck I installed a new set of Sony XPlod (3 way) 6x9's (220W XS-V1633). I have a Sony XAV-7W 7" Monitor/Reciever. I am going to hook it up to a Sony DVD/CD/MP3/CD-r player. I have a Sony 10 disc changer (the good one that plays mp3's, etc... and I'm gonna hook that up to the player. What I am asking is, for amp and subs...'

I want to get Sony XPlod to match the cars theme of red and black, and contrary to what people have been telling me... it sounds good. So what im asking is what wattage amp do I need to get for either 2 or 3 12" Xplod subwoofers (top wattage). Or can someone set me up with what they would reccomend. I want 2 or 3 sony subs, and I want the bass to be pretty slammin... but I wanna be able to turn it down when I need to...

How many and what wattage amps do you reccomend?

I want 3 top wattage Sony Subs...

Also remember I have 2 pairs of 220w speakers...

THANKS ALOT!!!

how are you planning to wire the subs?, and do you want separate amps for all 3 or all 3 running off one amp?

i know not a thing about wiring, imma have Tweeter wire it up for me... and I'd like 3 subs running at their best performance, so it doesnt matter to me if we need 3 subs...

the easiest thing to do would be to get one amp for powering the cabin speakers, and another amp for powering 2 subs.

if you have a deck that has 3 preouts, the other option is to have one amp for each pair of speakers. 2 for inside the car, and 1 for the subs.

wiring up 2 speakers at a time is a lot easier than 3, because most amps are setup for 1, 2, or 4 channels, not 3.

well there are other ways as well with a couple of 2 channel amps, you could wire a decent setup for your subs, and have the three you want, but generally speaking 2 is more than enough, unless you are a sound competitor.. and make sure your battery, and your alternator are up for the job of powering the subb/s and sound system, if it has A/C (which I hope it does) you should be fine, but may want to get a nice c.a.p. capacitor to get rid of dimming.. which reminds me, I need to get a cap soon too...
