i was wondering if an Alpine CDA-9805 cd player with a profile j200.2 amp and a kenwood 10" tornado sub would be a good setup? My friend told me that he would give the the amp and sub for only $75 and the cd player will be around $150-$200. The amp gives out 180 rms when bridged. but i can't find any other info on the amp. all reviews are good to the sub and cd player but i was wondering if any1 on here has/had any of these items
Thanks,
Brian

Hey man, thats a good deal for those 2 but unless you dont expect alotta bass, youre probably not gonna get it. That amp isnt even close to maxing out that sub Im sure, although those dont handle alot in the first place. Rockford, JL, MTX, and Alpine are highly trusted brands though. Not only on my part, they also make the best products. For interior speakers, go with Pioneer or MB Quart. If youre up to pay for the MB Quarts, do it. I have Pioneer 3 way 6x9s in the back and 3 way door speakers, and it sounds excellent. Someone said it sounds like I have small subs in my car, and its running off of a stock 96 Stratus radio. I dont really understand how theyre getting decent power, but thats otherwise. But yeah, buy that CD Player, the one Im getting is closer to $350 I think. I have a 1200 watt 10" Infinity Kappa that should be awesome for the music I listen to. I will probably hook up my brothers 1600 watt Legacy amp to it, since I know it is NOT putting out 1600 watts. We used it on his two 15" MTX 8000s and it wasnt pounding them up to expectancy. One of his friends said they should damn near crack the windows with full wattage. So...theres my 2 cents.
