How do I lower a Tamiya R32 GTR?

I am starting my Tamiya R32 GTR and I want to lower it. Any advice on how best to do this. Also is it possible to fit Fujimi rims to this car?

All you have to do is to cut and shorten the shock, and cut or file whatever prevents the suspension arms to sit closer to the wheel arch.
Fujimi wheel will fit Tamiya kit by modifying either wheel itself by removing the polycap socket and put a pin, or the brake disk to accept the polycap.

hirofkd, I assume this tecnique (spelling?) will also work on a Silvia S13 because the under-carriege looks the same on both cars. I really need to lower my Silvia.

Anyone have pics of thier lowered Skylines? I would really like to see some ,please.

Whoa! Lucky this thread came up!! So you cut the shocks?? On a Supra too? Like PMAN's orange/red supra? Cut the shocks? I know Ill stuff this up

For those who dont want to put up with cuttingand shit, just glue the wheels to the wheel wells, and still build up the suspension just put the rotors directly onto the wheels, it worked for me until i figured it all out as to how to lower them by cutting there suspensions. Another technique you can try is bending the big seperate suspension part (A-Arms or something?) and bend them upward. Worked on my Z. Good Luck!

i will sometimes use one of those cigar lighters that shoot that real hot blue flame. start to heat the parts up and hand adjust the ride height that way. its kinda kamakazi style but it works for me. hold the lighter VERY far away and heat VERY slowly. you don't want it to start to melt, only just become soft.

It will melt right away with a jet lighter, use a candle instead.

If you're not careful, it will melt right away using a candle as well. And very quickly too! Practice on some sprue first.

So, its better to melt, or cut? Is there any detailed pics on where to cut??
