Could someone tell me what to do first? I am receiving a P0742 that my torque converter is stuck on in a 2003 Pontiac Bonneville.

Welcome to AF.

Your post has been moved from Grand Prix to the Bonneville forum.

To start remove the 20 way electrical connector to the transaxle and then re-seat/re-install.

Also, please post your mileage.
