turbo might give you the biggest horsepower number, but with the right research and development, which basically means a shitload of money, you can build an all motor d series with 350hp or so.
check out bisimoto, he drives a CRX with a 1.5L all motor and runs 10s... well actually he USED to have a 1.5, now he drives an f22 mated to a d series tranny with custom flywheels and stuff, but he still has a couple records, such as *worlds fastest SOHC *1st SOHC to make it into the 10s *smallest displacement ever to make it into the 10s

Kind of unfair to use Bisi as an example, that guy is god of the d series, and I can guarantee you he's not using ordinary premium in his car.

im still contemplating on this vehicle...i got this car from an old lady whose son died...peep this out, the engine is fine and dandy for a 91 it only has 70k miles to it, it was stored for 2 years and only i gave it a run for its money its a 91 si and so far i got the exhaust and intake taken care of but if i put in a b16 engine then theres the essence of this vehicle maybe i should just get another ride where i could do as a project car...now im hooked to honda power...lol
