F-150 Vs. Harley Edition
Okay okay.....here it goes,
So I have a 2001 F-150 that at the time only had 1 engine modification which was the K&N air intake system......and one day I was challenged at a light by a harley edition (Which is supercharged) so just for kicks I accepted the challenge and we punched it at the first sight of green..it was a good race up until about 60 and then he started falling behind and eventually had NO chance of catching up. I was shocked !! Soo..I assumed that maybe his truck wasnt running tip-top that day, yet low and behold maybe a week later ANOTHER harley (this time it was, I believe, brand spanking new) met with me at a light and he also challenged me and it was the last race all over again, close off the line but he just fell behind. Sooooooooo...I'm curious why this happened ?? I had the 5.4 triton engine all stock except the Air filter system so what gave me the win against a SUPERCHARGED harley ???

hmmm lets take a looksie...
HD Edition F150 5.4 Triton V8 with S/C 340hp @ 4500rpm 425tq @ 3250rpm 4700lbs 3.73 LSD Your F150 5.4 Triton V8 260hp @ 4500rpm 350tq @ 2500rpm 4500lbs 3.23 Open Rear Interesting... well you say they started to fall back at higher speeds... All i can think is the 20" tires they come with and the 3.73 gear started to hurt its performance... thus your truck had the better advantage. Your lighter weight also played a small part as well. And you make your peak torque lower which means you should in theory accelerate just as hard as they do... I dunno theres about 600 factors to run through but i'll just make it short and sweet... Nice kill!
