Computer Problems, PLEASE HELP!

my friends '94 camaro has been having so many computer problems. Every time he takes it in they put in a new computer, but as soon as he gets it back, his car fries the computer. He has gone through about 5 computers in the past 2 months. He does have a system in his car and they believed that was the problem, they couldn't fix it. Can anyone help me? Has anyone had these problems with a camaro before? Please give me any advice you can or if there is a good mechanic I could talk to. Thank You

Sounds like whoever is working on it needs to fix the problem and quit replacing the weak link in between.

Is he taking it to a dealer or a repair shop?
I did not find any bulletins on this but I would consider taking it somewhere else. I have never heard of a sound system blowing the computer before.

My thoughts would be there is moisture entering the pcm harness connectors somewhere and shorting the pcm or a grounded sensor somewhere.

HELP

The computer keeps frying in his car. He paid 7,000 for it and in about 4 months it became a 10,000 dollar car. The mechanic told him that his stereo could be wired wrong. Circuit city hooked it up to the ignition and they told him it could be caused by a bad alternator. He got it replaced and it kepted pausing on him. Could it be the fuel injectors or the distributor?

repair shop

He is taking it to his dads friend. He works at a Tires Unlimited and giving him a good deal. He took it to a different mechanic before, but they over charged and couldn't find the problem. Do you know of any good specialists to call or go to?
