It mainly depends on how the previous owners took care of and how they drove it.

The 4t65-E HD transmission and 3800 - 1 engine are pretty solid. I have nothing but good to say about them, with the exception that on the vin k naturally asperated engines we had a lot of the upper intakes crack.

Just make sure the car has good service records and the supercharger oil has been maintained. That would be one of the biggest expenses IMO.

Good luck 6000K is not a bad price either.

For 6k thats great. All the gtps up here around me sell for 8 or 9k and thats with 90 to 95000 miles on them. As for the shelf life in the tranny and engine. Engine is good till about 200,000 and the tranny prolly till 150,000 but it all depends on how you drive it and how the last person drove it.

6K is too cheap, if it were 10 grand, that would be respectable. Take a real good look at it. Take it for a long test drive and make sure it still can light the tires up. If not, its got a power loss.

Well sounds like a good buy, If i were to find one that cheap and in good condition were I live, I'd probably buy another.
