Question Mini Cooper S vs VW GOLF GTI 1.8T

Me and my friend are having that debate. So with your opinions on performance, looks, optionas avaiable and anything else you'd like to add...which is better? and why?

It's only fair since the Jetta would be too heavy and would be blown away (no pun intended) by the supercharged Mini Cooper S

Anyways...I choose the Mini...lighter and more nimble

i also prefer the mini s, regardless of performance numbers . . . that car is just so cool

The Golf handles like a boat. The Mini's infinitely better to drive. It's a little girly, IMO, but if you can get past that i'd def go for the mini

True, but the R32 could be seen as somewhat pricey for a Golf. The standard GTi should have been a little sharper, i glanced somewhere that the mk5 GTi would be a better handler, i certainly hope so
