Brake Calipers

Hey guys I have a problem. I got the wheels off my car(99 GS) and I'm going to change the brake pads and paint the Calipers. I got the fluid line off but can't get the caliper off. Do I have to take the two 17mm bolts(one on top one on bottom) off to get the whole thing off?

Thanxs,
JrS

Yeah I got them off. Thanxs though. Those things were torqued quite a bit.
