Pix of my LX

Howdy, Howdy.
These are a couple of pictures of my ride, a 1990 Civic LX.

http://files.automotiveforums.com/up...90CivicLX.jpeg

Only mods are intake, header, and upper and lower strut bars front and back.

PS-It's for sale! $2500. I need to fix up the Acura I just got!

Those are indeed Escort rims. See my other thread, "Ford Rims on an LX?"
They came on the Acura, and I want to keep my Si rims and Goodyear Eagle tires for further use on the Acura.
My big project for this weekend is to custom-fit those wheels to these hubs. The centerbore on the rims is too small, so I'm going to take a drum sander (it's like a little wheel with sandpaper on it that you stick in a drill, like a drill bit) and make that centerbore just a little bit larger. I might attack the hub, too, and make it a little bit smaller.
That's my weekend excitement!
Flunky
PS-Yes, I am too cheap to buy rims for a car I'm selling...

so those are the infamous rims you were having trouble with? Damn, and I almost got some of those for my car too off my friend. Anyways, your car looks nice ... I wanna see pics of the teg too though.

Hey, Melt.
The 'Teg is very, very rough. Although the lights I won on eBay just arrived, so I could make it legal if I needed to!
I'll post the results of my quality time spent honing the centerbore of those rims. If it's easy, you just might have yourself a new project!
The drum sander I got only cost $4 for three of 'em, and I'm going to stick 'em in an old drill laying around the house. It's a cheap project, all I can afford at the moment.

I got 'em cheap ($15 - $24) on eBay.
Yeah, I like 'em. The front one on top makes the biggest difference...until you get the one in the trunk. It's wild, how much difference it makes. The rear must do some serious flexing without it.
The one on the front that goes under the vehicle is good, too, but it's kind of a bitch when I pull into a steep driveway or run over a curb (happened in the snow, couldn't see it). That made it rub against my exhaust, but I adjusted it back into place in .2 seconds with my hammer.
After the first three, the rear lower didn't seem to make much difference.
The front one was a total bitch. You gotta make sure they are actually exerting some force, that they're tight...or they're not doing anything.
But yes, I'm totally satisfied with my cheapie strut bars.
Flunky
PS-With my Goodyear HPs I can take corners marked 10 MPH at over 55 MPH.
