Question about a cd player
Hey guys. i was just wondering something.
Maybe one of you would know. i am lookin for a cd player for my ride. nothing really expensive right now. i came across a OEM cd player out of a 2000-02 Chevy cavalier. i was wonderin if it would actually work in a 03 cavalier. they look alot alike. i just wanted to know if the wiring would be the same. heres a ref pic of the 2000-02 one. |

It should fit just fine but even if it doesn't any place that customizes cars will sell you an adapter for the wiring harness for about $5.

You gotta take the dash apart... probably not one of the funnest installs to do.

I've never had any problem taking apart the dash, it is pretty strait forward, I've changed the deck in my '98 a couple of times, I put in an aftermarket deck, then put the factory CD deck back in. From what I've seen, all of the Chevy decks are pretty much interchangable, accept for the older ones mounted on the top instead of the sides and the newer ones have more stuff for security in them.

The newer radios installed in GM cars may look the same outside but inside they are different! The newer radios are actually computers that need to be programmed sometimes for different issues! Only thing I can say is try it plug it in it might work it might not!
