Engines...Explain please!!!
Okay...I am trying to understand all of this and it is just to confusing for me...the more I read the more i get lost. Can someone explain to me what all these B engines are...where they came from...where they like to be put into and why? I hear all these crazy B named engines getting put everywhere but what cars do the come out of? Which one is good for what? Which ones will fit in what cars? Ect.

B16a sir2 92-95 160hp vtec B16a2 99-00 civic SI 160hp vtec B16a3 del sol vtec 160hp vtec b17a1 92-93 GSR 160hp vtec B18a1 90-93 integra LS/GS/RS 130hp B18b1 94-2001 integra LS/RS/GS/SE 142hp B18c1 94+ GSR 170hp vtec B18c5 97+ ITR 195hp vtec B20a5 old prelude si ?? B20b4 97-98 crv 126hp B20z 98+crv 146hp all are DOHC I think thats it, some are probably in other things i forgot to mention, but im pretty sure that I listed all the b series. also the hp i listed is USDM I am going with b20 myself, and then CRVTEC later on, which is a vtec head on the b20 block, LSVTEC is the vtec head on the B18a/b. there is also non OBD, OBD1, OBD2, and I think there are OBD3 now, but im pretty sure no B series came in OBD3 cars. also hydro/cable trannies come with different swaps which depends where they can go

man. why go through all the trouble.
www.hondaswap.com has all the info you need. i really don't like that forum but they have a database type deal for hondas which is a pretty good resource to look at.....
