Wow this thread resonates so much with me. It seems I either get to close, or when the chicks have problems with their relationships, they come to me.

anyways, i've had the exact same things happen to me. be a nice guy, but oh shit, now you've gone too far and are a "great friend" to her and have ruined every chance of getting with her. or you're a nice guy, but she doesn't care and goes with some other guy at a party. Well i read this whole thread and their is a million things I can say but I'll save it for later and I'll keep this short.

1.Guys you gotta take these bumps and bruises in stride it's all part of growning up. Sucky part
2. Learn from the past don't make the same mistakes over and over.
3. Self-loathe for a while but move on and be a better person.
4. Don't have this feeling like a GF is gonna solve your problems or make your sucky life better.
5. Connected to 4: Improve yourself and your life and girls will be attracted to who you are. If you are happy with who you are and your position in life it shows! And people want to be part of some1 like that
6. Don't let your wanting to be a nice guy and wanting to please get so carried away that you stop being a strong individual and you become a doormat. That's how you get f-ed over and the title friend!

One last shot: Girls don't you use the excuse I don't wanna ruin a friendship, that's BS. It's so easy to say that try looking for and saying the real reason

That's the stage I'm at. While I wouldn't turn down a girl I liked if she were to come onto me, I'm not actively looking for a girlfriend right now. I want to finish college, get a good job, get a decent place, get the first of the cars I want, then at that point hopefully I won't even really need to try to get women...they'll flock to the Heepy
